We've made two trips out to
Anclote Key, just west of Tarpon Springs
in the Gulf of Mexico this year. The first
was in February on the coldest
weekend of the winter.

For Florida, that is...

Anclote Key lighthouse; abandoned in the 70's, but soon to be restored.

Anclote is uninhabited and only accessible
by boat.

One of the boats the Ship has access to is "Brigantia", a 19' Drascombe Lugger. "Brigantia's" a very seaworthy and beachable yawl built in England.

Won't set any speed records, but she
carries a lot of gear!
